More than 160 schoolgirls were killed in the US-Israeli bombing of a primary school

They were just little girls, with little girl dreams. They filled coloring books with rainbows and sang made-up songs at the top of their lungs. Their world was small and soft and filled with light.

Then there is the other world. A world of predators so withered they can only feel alive by extinguishing someone else's flame. Their souls are so dark that they cannot bear the radiant light of a child’s innocence, so they snuff it out.

Those little girls, who should be asking for just one more story before bed, now sleep in the cold suffocating silence of a grave. Their laughter, which should echo through hallways, is gone.

Shame. A burning shame on those who witness this horror and do not scream. On those who see children's blood on the hands of perpetrators and, with their silence, wash it clean. Your silence is a vote. Your inaction is a weapon. History will remember which side you chose.
